Boost Your Energy This Spring
The arrival of spring brings forth new life and inspires us to plant seeds to realize dormant dreams. This is the season to reboot and energize our physical, mental and emotional well-being. Yet sometimes it feels difficult to shed the sluggishness of winter. Despite the occasional warm sunny day, there is still a heavy dampness that seeps deep into the bones.
The practice of Ayurveda reminds us to simplify and nourish the liver as we transition into warmer weather. While this can be a great time to do a detox cleanse, sometimes just adding one simple practice into your daily routine can boost your energy.
Choose just one of the following and try to add it to your daily routine:
Drink warm water first thing in the morning.
Add plenty of greens to your diet.
Take a 20-minute walk in nature.
Pause and breathe deeply.
An attitude of nourishment instead of deprivation can be the difference between good intentions and lasting change. Whatever you do, keep it simple and change will come gradually one step at a time.
