Getting Creative with Green Smoothies

Making smoothies can be a creative and nourishing expression of self-love. You don't have to spend a ton of cash on expensive pre-made juices in plastic bottles and you certainly don't need a fancy "juicer" to get the job done. All you need is a simple one-speed blender and access to fresh fruits and vegetables. The trick is to give yourself permission to experiment with different ingredients and proportions. This delicious and kid-friendly recipe was made with the ingredients left in the refrigerator one day.

Green Smoothie

1 cup mixed baby greens
1 cup frozen pineapple
1 green apple, chopped
1 celery stick, chopped
Juice of 1 lime
1-2 cups water (or just enough to cover the fruits & veggies)

Place all the ingredients into blender and blend until smooth (adding more water if needed). You can strain if you prefer a clear juice.

Enjoy!!!
